How are health grades calculated?
We combine nutrition (sugar, sodium, fiber, protein), processing level, and ingredient flags into a transparent 0–100 score (A–D). Each flagged additive cites named sources such as EFSA, U.S. FDA, IARC/WHO, NTP, USDA, California OEHHA, and peer-reviewed studies — see our scoring methodology.
Where does product data come from?
Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central, with health grades computed by our scoring engine. Retailer stock is shown only when an official API confirms it.
Why doesn't location work on the website?
Browsers require HTTPS for geolocation. Our production site uses HTTPS; if you self-host without SSL, use the iOS app for GPS or enable HTTPS on your domain.
Is the iOS app on the App Store?
Yes — HealthierCart is live and free on the App Store. Scan barcodes, view health grades, and find healthier alternatives on the go.
How do I delete my data?
We do not require accounts. Uninstall the mobile app to clear on-device history. Web searches are not tied to a user profile.
